Our Jewish Home (OJH) is an individualized, in-home education program for families with pre-school children. Unlike other programs of family education, Our Jewish Home takes place in your home. Families are assigned to a Jewish family educator who engages parents and children in four individualized and exciting interactive study sessions in their own homes. Topics include: Passover, Shabbat, High Holidays and Jewish Values/Mitzvot.

Program sessions last about one hour each and are scheduled at times convenient to the family. Our Jewish Home is available to families who have at least one child between the ages of 3 and 6. Because the program is individualized for each family, younger and older children are engaged in the sessions as well.

Comments from OJH families:

“Thank you for sharing with us your love and knowledge of the Jewish holidays. Thank you for bringing us wonderful games, recipes, stories and challah dough (we really loved the challah). We appreciate all you have done to make Our Jewish Home special and enriching for our family and we feel fortunate to have been able to share this experience with you.”

“Excellent experience! We highly recommend it along with the educator. It has helped us learn about and understand the activities and meanings of Jewish life.”

“This program was fabulous and the educator was first rate! Feel free to use our names as references.”

“When my six year old daughter found out that a friend of ours was in the hospital, she ran to make a get well card. She said that she learned from our educator that it was a mitzvah to send get well cards to sick people.”
